Welcome to Chris’ Cannabis Corner.
Today we are smoking two different 1/8th’s and we are also testing out some terpene-infused rolling papers.
Sherb Cream Pie by NEA, Purple Milk by Bostica, and Lift Ticket Labs Terpene Infused Papers with Glass tips.
OK, let’s get the bad news out of the way first –
Lift Ticket Papers – These are advertised as terpene-infused wrapping papers in a 5-pack with 5 papers and 5 glass tips included. The packaging is OK, the glass tips are nice, but the papers are hard to get out of the packaging and are “overpackaged” in my opinion. Each paper is protected by two sheets of thicker cardboard paper. All in all, it seems like a lot more packaging than is needed;

- Smell – Well, these really had no smell that I could determine.
- Appearance – The packaging is OK, the glass tips are nice, but the papers are hard to get out of the packaging and are “overpackaged” in my opinion. Each paper is protected by two sheets of thicker cardboard paper. It all seems like a lot more packaging than is needed.
- Taste – This is where the product really fails me. I was expecting quite a lot of flavor based on the advertising and the name. But I did not get a lemon, cherry, or gelato flavor out of these. If anything, the paper had a kind of weird chemical/burnt taste to it. Not horrible but just an undertone. I feel like mostly what I tasted was the chemical flavor and not any of the weird I rolled up. For testing purposes, I just used a mixed grind I had of a bunch of leftover buds from different strains.
- High – I could not tell any difference at all between smoking with one of these papers or without.
Bottom Line: At $15 for 5 papers and 5 glass tips, I just have to say that this product is not worth it. It’s not a bad product per se, but it doesn’t really deliver as advertised, and you can get all the components cheaper if you just buy them separately. Note: One thing I will add is that I found that rolling and smoking a joint with a glass tip is MUCH better than using a standard cardboard tip. The airflow is much better, and the joint burned really, really well.
Sherb Cream Pie by NEA. Sherb Cream Pie is derived from crossing Ice Cream Cake with Sherb Bx1. And this is new to me; Bx1 means that the Sherbert was “backcrossed” one time. Backcrossing means breeding a strain back onto itself to hopefully get more of the desirable traits. An interesting piece of genetic breeding that I never knew about.
- Smell – I get some grass, some gas, but also a slightly chemical smell. There are also some nice sweet undernotes, which I guess could be described as “sherbet-esque”.
- Appearance – These are really pretty, nice, dark buds. The buds are nice sizes in the whole container with no real tiny nugs. They have a good squeeze to them; they are fluffy, not dense. The buds are a little sticky and grind up beautifully.
- Taste – The taste is nice and indeed somewhat “creamy”. It’s a smooth smoke, and it does have a sweet back note on the exhale.
- High – Holy cow, is this an indica!!! In da couch? I WAS the couch! I started falling asleep as soon as I started watching TV. My wife kept asking if I was awake, and even though I replied to her that I was indeed awake, I’m not sure I actually was. If you are looking for a heavy hitter indica, then this is your weed!
- Smell – This has a very sweet, lovely smell. I get some berry scent and some background floral notes. Just lovely
- Appearance – This is very different from the Sherb Cream Pie. These are smaller buds, some are even tiny ones, nothing big. These are also harder, drier nugs. The buds are a kind of artificial green but with a nice dusting of keif powder all over them. They are dry and do not grind up as fluffy as the Sherb.
- Taste – I get a slightly ashy flavor, with a slightly chemical taste. Overall the flavor is mild and kind of forgettable.
- High – Very good. This is a perfect hybrid. I could concentrate but also zoned out at times. For example, I was camping when I smoked this and I was very happy walking all the way to the water to wash camp dishes, and I had a great time doing it. I felt focused and energetic, but just after that I was able to sit in my camp chair and just stare at the trees and think for like 30 minutes straight. This ended up being my favorite camping smoke because it was the perfect balance of “get sh*t done” and “can you feel the forest breathing?”
So, to summarize:
- Lift ticket Labs Terpene Infused Papers with Glass tips – Don’t waste your time or your money!
- Sherb Cream Pie -if you need LIGHTS OUT/Bed Time weed, this is your pick!
- Purple Milk – Great all day weed but it’s kinda boring tasting and looking.
