Hello folks, another entry to the corner. If you know me, you know that I am mainly a flower and edibles guy. So today I wanted to mix it up a bit and try a vape cart. Now, I need to set the stage here, I can be a bit of a picky guy when it comes to vape products. I do not care for distillate carts at all, I feel they give me a buzzy headachy high which hits only in the front of my forehead. Not fun. I have really only liked my experiences with Resin or Rosin Carts. So, with that all being said here is a deep dive on the Gm Blow v2 Solventless Rosin cart from TreeWorks.
Treeworks is located nearby to The Verb in beautiful Hatfield, Massachusetts. They might be considered by some by a “high end” brand but their prices reflect the care and quality that goes into their products. Especially their solventless rosins. Essentially, solventless rosin is extracted by two heated plates pressing cannabis material into a parchment paper at a high pressure to make a golden-like, resinous oil. Rosin methods remove resinous trichome glands leaving only therapeutic compounds and no harmful solvent. This also means that you get all the effects of the plant not just the THC effects.
- Appearance – Let’s start with the packaging. Kudos to Treeworks for compact but thoughtful packaging. The cart is stored in it’s small box at a 45 degree angle which should help make sure its never laying completely on its side during shipping. Once you take the cart out you see that it’s a really well made high quality glass cart. Also, the rosin inside looks very pure and light, like a “golden grade” maple syrup. The onlytiny complaint about their hardware is that the glass top is wider than the 510 base which means this could be a problem using with some battery types that are more like a “drop in” pen. The wider glass tip might not fit. I small issue, but one I thought I should mention.
- Taste – Awesome! I don’t like when non-cannabis flavors are added to vape carts this DOES NOT have that problem. This is just pure rosin and the taste is so clean and perfect. Very very good. I got lemon and a nice classic light “weed” flavor on the inhale and just a really clean sweetness on the exhale. So smooth.
- The high – Well folks this hits like lightning. I think I was high within 1 minute and then it just kept getting better and better. What do I mean by better and better? Well this is an Indica and it’s very mellow. The full spectrum experience from the Rosin meant that I was loose in my head and relaxed but I also had a wonderful body high and felt great.
