Hello Folks, another issue of Chris’ Cannabis Corner. Today we’re taking a deep dive into the NY Sour Diesel by Kind. I didn’t do much research on this strain because as soon as I found out that one of the most common origin theories suggests Sour Diesel was created by a breeder known as “Asshole Joe” around 1996. I just love the fact that there was a guy who was commonly known as “Asshole Joe”. Makes me giggle.
1. Smell – Well folks, Diesel is indeed in the name and that is what you get when you open the bag and stick your nose in. It lives up to the Diesel name; strong fume smells, and nice piny undertones.
2. Appearance – Small buds, some might call these popcorn but they are sticky and moist. Perhaps too moist as the buds were a little hard to grind.
3. Taste – First big drags off of my stuffed cone gave me its namesake in full. I’m talking big blasts of gas/diesel and just plain amazing fumes.. The only issue I might have is that that amazing gas flavor fades pretty quick and it really doesn’t have much other “under notes” to enjoy. Its a small complaint, so no big worries.
4. The high – This sh*t hits hard. It’s labeled as a Hybrid but it seemed to lean more indica for me. I was super relaxed, and I think this would be a great evening smoke. High lasted a long time and I did fall asleep while watching TV, but the cool YouTube find while I drifted off was this amazing Japanese jazz piano player. Check her out!
Happy smoking folks!
Chris
